I am downloading some GSC files and sources that are in a .txt file, and SmartScreen is blocking it as a virus? Is this a problem on my end? I am posting this in the GSC section because that's where I am downloading the files from. Picture here -

A png file can be infected with a virus, so Im pretty sure a gsc-file can be too. @JMccormick264 Actually Its just a bug, turn off your anti-virus and download it again.

I can download it. I just have to force it to download in Microsoft Edge

That has happened to me before. Someone sent me a PNG over skype, I opened it and then I got a virus or malware. All my skype contacts got spammed and a lot of my files turned into .LOCKED files. I had Malwarebytes get rid of the malware

You can't make a GSC a virus unless you rename some .exe virus to .gsc and tell the user to rename it back to .exe and double-click it xD

Yeah syndicate its possible you can inject a rat into a png or jpeg.
